Join us for this month's Legislative Breakfast focused on Transportation on Wednesday, November 5th from 7:30am - 9:00am at the Knights Event Center (1760 East 4th Avenue, Shakopee).
Making Transportation Work for Minnesota
According to MnDOT Commissioner Charlie Zelle, if we want Minnesota to prosper, we need a transportation system that works. Today, our roads and bridges are deteriorating faster than we can maintain them, due to the level and type of funding we put toward transportation. When you consider that Minnesota will have a million more people by 2040, and that tourism, trucks and rail traffic will continue to increase, it’s clear that we need to think and act differently. Commissioner Zelle will cover the options for doing just that, resulting in a transportation system that maintains our high quality of life and keeps our state economically competitive.
What does the business community think about transportation?
Our second speaker Bentley Graves, Director of Transportation Policy at the Minnesota Chamber, will discuss what they are hearing from the business community and how they are using that input to craft a policy position for the 2015 session.
Investment: $25 per person (member discount) or $35 per person (regular rate), includes breakfast
