Join us for this month's Legislative Breakfast focused on Health Care on Wednesday, December 3rd from 7:30am - 9:00am at the Knights Event Center (1760 East 4th Avenue, Shakopee).
Kathryn Kmit, Director of Policy and Government Affairs at the MN Council of Health Plans, will join us to discuss what is currently happening with health care, the impact it may have on employers and what we might see during the 2015 legislative session.
Additionally, two representatives from St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Michael Morris, Director of Business Development, and Cindy Vincent, VP of Finance and Operations, will be joining us to discuss how the latest round of health care reform is affecting hospitals in regards to their finances, patient volumes and more.

About Our Speakers
Kathryn Kmit is the Director of Policy and Government Affairs for the MN Council of Health Plans. The Council is the state trade association that represents Minnesota’s seven nonprofit health plans. The members include Blue Cross/Blue Shield of MN; HealthPartners; Medica; PreferredOne, Metropolitan Health Plan; UCare; and Sanford Health Plan. Since 1996, Kathryn has represented the industry at the Capitol where she lobbies to ensure Minnesotans have access to high quality, affordable health coverage.
Michael Morris is the Director of Business Development at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee. Prior to his position at St. Francis, he held strategic planning and business development positions with Catholic Health Initiatives and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota. In addition to his role at St. Francis, Michael serves on the University of Iowa's Health Management and Policy program's alumni board, serves as the Vice President of the Minnesota American College of Healthcare Executives chapter and received the chapter's early careerist award in 2013. Michael received his undergraduate degree in health promotion from the University of Northern Iowa and his masters degree from the University of Iowa.
Cindy Vincent is the VP of Finance & Operations for St Francis Regional Medical Center where she has worked since 2006. Prior to joining St Francis, Ms. Vincent spent more than 20 years at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview in a variety of finance and performance improvement roles. Most recently, she served as the Senior Director of Performance Improvement for the medical center. Ms. Vincent has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Minnesota.
